AFRICAN CENTER FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PEACE TRAINING
African Center for Training in Criminal Justice and Peace Studies is non-profit and non-governmental academic and professional institution devoted for humanitarian services, with intention of realization of restorative justice concepts, peaceful reconciliation of conflicts and sustainable peace making.
Goals of the Centre:
1- Adding specialized scientific activities in one of the most important fields of knowledge necessary for peace making, protection of the human rights and sustainable development in African countries.
2- Strengthening the pillars of criminal justice, restorative justice and the causes of sustainable peace in Sudan and African countries.
3- Supporting criminal justice systems and sustainable peace mechanisms by providing research, studies, consultations and professional skills, and exchanging expertise and experiences.
4- Contributing efficiently in setting criminal policies and developing legislations and law enforcement agencies in Sudan and African countries.
5- Spreading a culture of criminal justice and restorative justice for transitional justice in the post-conflict phase.
6- Disseminating the experiences of the state and the expertise of its scientists at the regional and international levels, which qualifies them to assume leadership positions in relevant international organizations.
7- Implementing and publishing related research.
8- Implementing scientific meetings and publishing their outputs.
9- Providing study and training opportunities in coordination with the competent internal and external academic and training institutions.
10- Encouraging scientific research in the field of specialization.
11- Cooperating and coordinating with relevant regional and international institutions.
12- Exchanging expertise and experiences in the field of criminal justice and crime control between countries of the region.
13- Spreading security awareness, preventing crime, assisting crime victims and protecting human rights at the national and regional levels.
14- Providing technical support and assistance related to the criminal justice systems and criminal justice operations of the countries of the region.
15- Publication of the criminal justice principles and guidelines issued by the United Nations, in cooperation with the United Nations Office for Drugs & Crime
16-Creating and activating Crime Prevention Foundation to support crime prevention measures.
